I’ve got mixed feelings on this one. It reads like a cozy mystery without much of a mystery. It’s more of just a story about a girl that makes murder pies and some new friends.
I guess we are supposed to assume the female lead is a good guy. But, let’s face it, her pies kill people. On top of that she actively recruits and looks for people that are in need of her murder pies.
So, I’m not 100% sold on our female lead. Beyond that, the story is decent. However, I found this book in a cozy mystery list and was disappointed that it didn’t have a classic cozy mystery set up.
