This book has a great classical murder mystery set up. The ending wasn’t to my taste but did keep you guessing.
It starts off with a nice rhythm. Lots of hints of something darker going on. Reminds me of listening to ghost stories around the fire.
The middle of the book loses its rhythm.
It starts to look like someone is going to wake up and it will all be a dream. There doesn’t seem to be a logical way out of this mess.
I did not guess the twist at the end. However, I wasn’t happy with the twist. I’m not sure why this book ended up being classified as a romance. There was no romance. There is no happy ending.
