I have mixed feelings with this one. On one hand the voice talent was excellent, on the other hand the book is 2-3 hours too long.
There was a grand gesture and still over two hours left in the book. The grand gesture was done before the main conflict of the couple, seemed to come out of nowhere and highly unlikely. It was confusing.
This extra time in the book makes me realize that a beautiful, outgoing, always has kind things to say, French ballerina has nothing in common with me. This makes it harder for me to relate to the leading lady. Meanwhile, the leading male has some deep rooted issues that I don’t feel like were properly resolved.
