There are two different story lines in this book. It is set up like a popular author is sending her drafts to a beta reader and we get his feedback. This is unique and interesting in many ways.
However, the critiques take away from the validity of the main story. We are left mostly guessing what is going on with the beta reader. This makes for a second mystery to figure out.
Neither story line is really strong enough on their own. Working together they make an okay book. I wish there was more crossover with the two story lines.
The title is also a mystery. Which woman are we talking about?
