Series Mercy Thompson #13
Audiobook 11 hours (approx.)

This is the newest release in a favorite series of mine. It hasn’t been a year yet since the last time I reread the series so I’ll wait to write about the whole series.
This series has one leading female and male throughout. First time readers should read the stories in order and start at the beginning.
The leading female isn’t the strongest around. That doesn’t stop her from repeatedly saving her friends with her determination and whit.
She often talks about how the Fae seek balance. I think it would be fun to have a count of how many times she has saved her friends and compare it to how many times that they have saved her. My guess is that the numbers are pretty close. The writing is well thought out.
This is a great installment for the series. No big greater theme changes in this book. Just your classic Mercy story. If you are new to the series you should start at the beginning and not start here.
This story includes a Fae artifact and history into the vampires, especially Wulfe.
My biggest problem with reading this book, is being disappointed with all the rest of the books on my reading shelf.
