Didn’t have any expectations on this one. The blurb sounded interesting. Both audiobook and eBook was available. However, I wouldn’t have been surprised if I stopped a few chapters in.
This book was a fast paced, quick read (my favorite kind). The chapters are short and new information is presented in each chapter. The mystery of the husband’s disappearance keeps the book moving but it is the relationship between the daughter and step-mother that will stick with you. I also liked learning some about wood turning. What a cool job.
I even read through the book club questions at the end.
